The Bio-Research & Development Growth (BRDG) Park

The Bio-Research & Development Growth (BRDG) Park at the Danforth Plant Science Center helps life sciences and clean-tech companies bridge research, resources and relationships to achieve commercial success. World-class wet labs and office space, plus a prominent incubator and on-site workforce training at BRDG Park are just the beginning. BRDG Park takes maximum advantage of its location on the campus of the Danforth Center and the robust scientific capital found in the St. Louis region.
BRDG Park offers emerging scientific enterprises just the right combination – interactions between top scientists and access to state-of-the-art core facilities such as technologically advanced greenhouses, growth chambers, microscopy, proteomics, and tissue transformation facilities, as well as other vital resources. Located in suburban St. Louis County, Missouri, the multi-building BRDG Park campus is being developed by Wexford Science+Technology, a privately held real estate development and investment company that has developed six major research parks nationwide.

The Missouri Biotechnology Association

The Missouri Biotechnology Association is focused on maintaining the growth of the biotechnology industry generated by the research and development communities of Missouri. While we have made great strides in keeping our local talent, Missourians have not done enough to attract both national and international interests to be included in our burgeoning biotechnology community. Thus, the members of MOBIO firmly believe that it is up to Missourians to grow our biotechnology industry through research, scholastics, new laws and government.

Missouri Technology Corporation (MTC)

Chartered by an act of the General Assembly in 1994, the Missouri Technology Corporation (MTC) is a private, not-for-profit corporation led by a 15 member Board of Directors, 11 of whom are appointed by the governor. The Board is comprised of leaders in the fields of science and technology and representatives of public and private universities, businesses, and the public. The MTC is charged by law with being a focal point for creating better ways Missouri businesses can interface with universities in order to solve technical and productivity issues; for bringing more research funding and emphasis to Missouri universities, especially involving the life sciences, information technology and advanced manufacturing; and for creating and managing a system to transfer new discoveries into the marketplace in order to create companies and jobs. The work of the MTC is guided by its 2005 Strategic Plan, which is the first in the organization’s history. The MTC is embarking on an effort to raise the level of awareness among policymakers and the public as to the connections between a strong economy and key investments in developing new technologies that can be used by Missouri businesses and entrepreneurs.

The St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA)

The St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) has three primary roles: 1) to serve as the regional chamber of commerce for over 4,000 member companies; 2) to serve as the bi-state region’s lead economic development organization; and 3) to investigate and support public policy initiatives that help the region thrive and grow.
The RCGA evolved into its current form in 1973, with the merger of three organizations: the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan St. Louis, the St. Louis Regional Industrial Development Corporation, and the St. Louis Research Council. This combination helped unite the voice of business in supporting public policy and civic initiatives that make the region ideal for expansion, location and entrepreneurship.
