Neal Gutterson, Ph.D., is former Chief Technology Officer for Corteva Agriscience. He unified three R&D organizations from the legacy companies, with an aspiration to design, discover and develop innovations that create value for farmers and deliver consumer benefits in planet-friendly ways. He is Partner and CTO at Radicle Growth, an early stage sustainable ag and food tech fund. Investing in pre-seed to series A stage companies, Radicle focuses on company development and leadership enablement to improve probability of success. Neal is also currently a System Board member of the One CGIAR where he brings his passion for enriching the lives of smallholder farmers through collaborative innovation He is Board Chair at Boost Biomes, and he advises companies on innovation strategy guided by a vision of the future of the food system – providing healthier diets and a healthier planet – that we need in 2050. Neal entered the industry in 1983, building his career through a series of progressively more senior R&D roles at ag biotech start-ups, finally serving as President & CEO of Mendel Biotechnology prior to joining DuPont Pioneer in 2014.
