As Director of New Product Development for The Mosaic Company, Kyle Freeman, Ph.D., is responsible for the innovation of new crop nutrition fertilizer and feed products across Mosaic’s worldwide geographies. This includes leading all commercial and pre-commercial products through Mosaic’s development process, StageGate®. In addition, Freeman leads the Agronomic strategy for Mosaic’s research. In 2018 this included more than 500 trials that were conducted with highly regarded private researchers and universities, as well as with customers and growers.
Dr. Freeman is an active member of the ASA-CSSA-SSSA Societies, serving on various committees. Freeman also serves numerous industry roles, including International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) advisory board member, 4R Nutrient Stewardship Research Fund – Technical Advisory Group member, and International Fertilizer Association (IFA) – Nutrient Stewardship working group member.
Freeman holds a Master of Science and Doctorate in Soil Science from Oklahoma State University. He began his career at Oklahoma State University where he managed more than 150 research trials and was a key developer in the GreenSeeker™ technology.
