Mark is currently the Vice President, Business Development at Nutrien. In this role, Mark is responsible for the ongoing development of Nutrien Ag Solutions’ (Retail) business and growth strategy, while also leading the planning and execution of M&A activity, including traditional and technology-based acquisitions and investments, as well as the organization’s greenfield build program. Mark also plays a key role in developing and leading external partnerships with stakeholders across the AgTech ecosystem, including early-stage companies, venture capital funds and established agricultural industry participants.

Prior to being appointed to his current role, Mark held the positions of Vice President, Strategy & Special Assistant to the CEO at Agrium, leading the development of the company's corporate strategy, along with oversight responsibilities for growth of the organization – in addition to providing strategic and financial advisory support to Chuck Magro, Nutrien’s current President & CEO. Mark was also significantly involved in the formulation and execution of the company’s Innovation & Technology strategy, including investment activity across its key innovation focus areas of plant nutrition, crop protection, digital/precision agriculture and seed.
